The 16th Balkan Educational Sciences Congress, hosted by Trakya University's Faculty of Education, will take place in Edirne, Türkiye, from October 15 to 17, 2025. This year's theme "AI and the Future of Education: Transforming Teaching and Learning" will serve as a focal point for discussions while continuing the congress's tradition of addressing diverse aspects of educational sciences.

The congress provides a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to share their work across all areas of educational research, with special attention this year to the opportunities and challenges presented by AI in education. Participants will engage through oral presentations, panel discussions and poster sessions covering a wide range of educational sub-themes including, but not limited to, curriculum development, teaching methodologies, educational psychology, assessment, inclusive education, and educational technology.

We invite empirical studies, theoretical contributions, case studies, and best practices from all fields of educational sciences and encourage submissions exploring this year's theme of AI in education. The congress seeks to strengthen regional collaboration and advance educational scholarship throughout the Balkan region and beyond.
